Shamarah started the business by referrals and markets. adding on fairs and web sales until the business grew large enough for the first store at St Leonard's which has now moved to Crows Nest. And Graham joined allowing the shops to expand to Newtown and Castle Hill.

Introduced to crystals via courses attended, Shamarah proved to her own satisfaction that they really did help, and in wanting to own her own business and not continue in IT, she started The Rock Crystal Shop.
