About the Business

The Pot Still was first opened as a licensed premises under the name of 'McCalls'. It was renamed the Pot Still in 1981 and started to concentrate on the expanding the range of Whiskies available and before long the Pot Still became known for the number of drams available.

Fast forward to 2011 and the current, recently installed owners are keen to continue this tradition, growing the whisky selection, adding great beers and a decent range of wines and also the resumption of traditional Scottish lunches.

The Pot Still currently stock approximately 300 different expressions of whiskies, mainly single malts, but also including blends, grains, bourbons as well as whiskies from other countries, including the Netherlands, Japan and Sweden. We are also proud to offer 'real' Scottish ales, which are carefully looked after.
