About the Business

In December of 2012 my mother was diagnosed with Stage 3B Small Cell NON-Operable Carcinoma of the Lung. I was told by my family doctor of over 40 years that he didn't care what I believed in or who I prayed to as long as I did because her prognosis was not good. My now ex-husband remembered something he had read years back and that was all he needed to show me to get me started on my holistic journey. He immediately enrolled me in every school that offered classes in herbology, herbalism, holistic medicine and I became a certified herbologist, herbalist, holistic health coach, cannabis educator and a certified practitioner of naturopathic medicine and related therapies. Helping mom heal became our main priority and I am so very happy to say that to date (October of 2023) mom is 12 years CANCER FREE, she is NOT in remission, she is NED which means she has No Evidence of Disease! From diagnosis to cure was 16 weeks; and thus, 'The Medicine Chick' was born, love you Mom!

The Medicine Chick is a high energy, safe space. Many of our loyal patrons come in just to BREATHE in that energy. Being able to obtain information, purchase their herbal, cbd, metaphysical & spiritual essentials with the ability to ask questions in a non-judgmental environment is the cherry on top. We also offer Reiki (by appointment), Tarot readings, specialty events and did I mention we love to answer questions. Stop in! We look forward to seeing you!
