About the Business

More than 800 lofts have been converted over 25 years by THE Loft Conversion Company (Portsmouth) Ltd. Way back in the mid 80's David Stanley, Managing Director of THE Loft Conversion Company (Portsmouth) Ltd, had completed a 4 year apprenticeship in Carpentry & Joinery certified with The National Joint Council For The Building Industry. Awarded City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery Craft & City & Guilds Advanced Craft. All Certificates have been checked & inspected by Checkatrade.

After personally accumulating considerable knowledge in all aspects of Carpentry, David formed D.S. Carpentry & Building in 1990 trading as the Carpentry Contractor for major house building organisations such as Wimpey Homes, Charles Church, Berkerley, Persimmons & Mansell. During the mid 90's D.S.Carpentry & Building entered into the domestic building trade and began converting lofts. The demand for this type of work soon took over and The Loft Conversion Company (Portsmouth) Ltd was formed in 2003.
