Flying Locksmiths was established in Boston in 1945. Three generations later it expanded nationwide with the Chicago location opening in 2016.

The Flying Locksmiths was started by William McMenimon. After returning home from World War II he decided to start his own business. Since he also had a personal interest in aviation he decided to name his new locksmith shop "The Flying Locksmiths." He began by providing traditional locksmith work including cutting keys and fixing doors for homes and business in the Boston area. The Flying Locksmiths has since expanded to 35 states and increased its range of services to fix doors and locks as well as install card reader systems, cameras and automatic doors.

We are a Licensed and Insured, Lock and Door security company specializing in Commercial access control, card access system, automatic doors, and full door/frame replacements. Besides repairing, installing, rekeying and fixing locks we also perform door hardware repair and replacement work. I.e. door closers, hinges, exist devices, etc. We offer the convenience of service on site and are happy to provide any consultation through email, phone calls and/or sending photos.
