Specialties

The Butterfly and Pig's shabby chic interior, with mismatched furniture and vintage wallpaper, is a relaxed and welcoming place to catch up with friends. Our carefully restored Georgian townhouse is comprised of a restaurant and bar, Tea Rooms, private function rooms and nightclub, which means we are a “one-stop-shop” for all of your eating, drinking and entertainment needs. To keep you entertained our stage hosts entertainment almost every day of the week with Pub Quiz Mondays, Open Mic Tuesdays, Live Jazz Wednesdays, and Trad Session Thursdays. Our Wednesday and Thursday's are hosted by the students of The Royal Conservatoire, showcasing up and coming musicians in Jazz and Trad music. Our weekend's are taken care of by a Friday DJ, and live swing/blues band on a Saturday. And if that’s not enough, you can make your way to our sister nightclub – The Buff Club – from 11pm. Our kitchens take pride in producing everything we make from scratch and are famous for our quirky menus. The Restaurant is home to signature Scottish dishes such as our 'cilla the black' salad and deep-fried haggis fritters alongside hearty versions of our humble classics - Steak Pie and Fish and chips with mushy peas. Upstairs our friendly tea ladies serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea – opening 9-5pm everyday (10am on a Sunday). With over 40 speciality teas, a fine selection of cakes, and a truly great Scottish breakfast, The Tea Rooms is the place to start your day or unwind with a good cuppa.
