Originally created as the "Beehive Co-op" in 2004, the beehive re-opened in Atlanta after being purchased by four of the Co-op's featured designers. the beehive is proud to boast a well-edited collection of affordable, locally produced goods in an atmosphere with the thrill of a chic, high-end boutique, but the tidy merchandising and "cool quotient" of your favorite store.

The beehive, a local boutique, seeks to offer customers a refreshing retail shopping experience that is an alternative to mainstream buying options. We provide an upscale, chic boutique environment that has reasonably priced, independently designed goods for our customers, all lovingly made by local and regional entrepreneurs. The artists who create the beautiful products we sell also regularly work in the store, which allows our customers to interact and engage directly with the designers. Also, we know that our customers are proud to purchase limited edition and one-of-a-kind handcrafted items from artists who come from their very own neighborhoods. It is truly "inspired retail." With our brick-and-mortar store located in the bustling Edgewood Retail District, the beehive boasts the most talented independent designers from Atlanta, GA and the surrounding regions. Malene Davis purchased the beehive in early 2010 to keep local handmade design by independent artists from your community alive and well in Atlanta and the Southeast. With successful business of her own, Malene joined together with other local designers to create the preimmenent marketplace for chic, handmade and idependently created design.  With a store featuring clothing for women, men and children, homeware, accessories, jewlery and art, you can find the perfect gift for anyone at the beehive.
