Jonathan Gold of the Los Angeles Times, claimed that Tar & Roses "...may also mark the first time in our nation's history when cauliflower became more delicious than prime steak," and we love to push the limits when it comes to traditional ideas of food. Chef and Owner, Andrew Kirschner has been in the culinary industry most of his life. Growing up in a family with a strong appreciation for travel, food and wine, Andrew started his cooking education at the age of 15. He quickly realized his culinary passions and quickly followed them to the prestigious California Culinary Academy, graduating in 1997. Since establishing his foundation in world, Chef Kirschner has since been deemed one of the most creative and innovative chefs in the Los Angeles area, including awards such as Best New Chef in 2008 by the LA Times. Today, Chef Kirschner welcomes you into his home of Tar & Roses to experience the perfect blend of classical cuisine with modern sensibilities.
