About the Business

Sweet Centre Restaurant was founded 45 years ago, first opening in 1964. It was a cafe style environment with a design ahead of its time. The main service was Asian Breakfast, tea, coffee and light snacks.

The clientèle were mainly members of the south asian community who worked in engineering and textiles industry in Yorkshire. The Sweet Centre Restaurant was a meeting and snack eating place where all our Breakfast, starters, Asian sweets and Desserts were served.

Sweet Centre Restaurant is one of the most popular restaurants with its mixed clientèle, from all different communities.

The interiors of the premises provide a welcoming atmosphere typical of Eastern traditions. In addition to an extensive menu the diner can have dishes prepared to individual specification. Our chefs delight in the many specialties they prepare.

Many loyal customers of Sweet Centre Restaurant have been with us since our opening in 1964 for the "curry experience" alone.

My beloved Grandfather jointly with his brother started the catering business in 1964.  My Father continued to further progress the Asian cuisine trade and now I am as a grandson of the third generation managing this successful business enterprise.
