From Steve, ASE master mechanic and owner of Steve's Mobile Auto Care: "I started working in repair shops in Michigan in 1989 and over the years I found most of them would not allow me to be honest with customers. Then one day a friend suggested I go mobile and run my own business my way! I did not initially think it would work as well as it does, especially starting in Michigan and working year-round through brutal winters. But SMAC succeeded for the first 7 years there, and when the economy tanked and we moved to Austin in March 2012, it grew even bigger. I am thankful to be busier than ever and working on expanding!"

I'm an ASE Certified Master Technician and ASE Certified Undercar Specialist, and I've been working on vehicles professionally since 1989. I started my own business so I could make my decisions based on what your vehicle actually needs, not to satisfy some corporation's sales goals.
