About the Business

Hi there, we have been a family owned Hardware store since 1958. Southport Hardware was started by the matriarch of the Family, Kay, who was one of the first women to own a business in Ft Lauderdale. Most afternoons you can still find her son Ken at the store working hard and helping customers figure out their hardware needs. His son John now runs the store. He knows just about everything his dad and grandmother ever taught him about hardware and handyman work. Everyone who works here is part of Kays family. We love working in this community and would like to thank every single customer for being part of the Southport Hardware store family for over 60 years.
