Owner Jim Lafeber started Simon's Shine Shop with his wife in 2004. The idea to pursue a business came to life after countless unsatisfactory trips to "high end" shops. The couple knew they wanted to give the city of Chicago a detailing destination that cared for the client's vehicle, and the client's themselves.
