About the Business

Our roots in the industry were deeply planted in 1943 by a gentleman by the name of Norman Ware. Norman was the first of four generations to be involved with this company, originally named Federal Moving & Storage. In 1972, after 30 years of business Norman stepped aside making room for his son Douglas Ware.

In 1989, Douglas and his wife Jo-Ann decided to sell the business and move to Simcoe County. A new company was formed and now operates as Simcoe Moving & Storage a member and shareholder of United Van Lines. Recently a 2nd company was formed and reviving the original family business name now operates as Federal Moving & Storage, a proud member of the Mayflower group of affiliated companies

Robert Ware, Douglas' son is now the owner of the companies with over 20 years of being very involved with the day-to-day operations of the company.
