About the Business

Dating back to 1912, the area that is now Seasons in the Park was originally a rock quarry that provided the foundations for many of Vancouver's first homes and buildings. The park is an extinct volcano, originally nicknamed Little Mountain by early Vancouverites, but following a visit from King George IV and Queen Elizabeth in 1939, the name was changed to Queen Elizabeth Park.

In 1968, the Bollman Family opened the Quarry House Restaurant, which was in operation until 1988. Brent Davies then took over the lease from the Quarry House and began extensive renovations, eventually opening Seasons in the Park on April 15th, 1989.

In 1993, Bill Clinton and Boris Yeltsin hosted the Russian/American Summit dinner at Seasons in the Park, and Bill Clinton's personal Thank You card to Brent Davies is framed and hung in the restaurant today.
