About the Business

From the joy of fishing and the taste of fresh catch, we bring Montauk to your sidewalk. Founded by Michael Chernow and Jay Wainwright in 2015 on the corner of Broome and Mulberry, Seamore's puts the local back into seafood. With Seamore's Chelsea and Brookfield quick to follow, the dumbo location opened in March of 2018. With healthy plates, beach vibes, affordable local seafood, and sustainability at our core, we want you to feel good about your fish. We aim to make fresh, local fish more accessible to New Yorkers and sustainability more accessible to everyone. Our seafood is sustainably caught or farmed and sourced as close to home as possible. We're surrounded by water after all! Built on the dish not the fish, we aim to ebb and flow with our oceans, so you can enjoy the whole menu knowing it's freshness and flavor will never change - even when our daily landings do.

After spending most of her time in the Boston area, Rose moved to NYC in 2009 and started her career with The Butter Group in 2011 working with Food Network's Alex Guarnaschelli and nightlife gurus Richie Akiva and Scott Sartiano. Within the 6 years of working with them, she was able to gain knowledge and experience in both the restaurant and nightlife worlds. She then entered management after joining The Dinex Group and working with Chef Daniel Boulud and his team in his various fine dining French restaurants across the city. In 2018, she joined the Seamore's team to help open their Brookfield location as their Assistant General Manager and has since then become the General Manager. She also serves as the General Manager for the Dumbo location.  There is nothing she loves more than wining and dining and she loves being able to share her love for the industry by meeting new faces and establishing relationships.
