About the Business

After moving to Jacksonville from New York,I found it very difficult to find a salon that could give me a blowout that was healthy and long lasting. When I did my own blowouts they would usually last at least two weeks. I went to "black salons" but my blowout barely lasted a day. I then tried "Dominican salons" and found that they used too much heat and pulling. After working in a Dominican salon, I began to get clients that were requesting my blowouts because they not only lasted longer and kept the hair health but they did not have to spend long hours in the salon. In corresponding with the clients I also realized that a salon that emphasized healthy haircare was lacking in Jacksonville. After one year in Jacksonville I opened Salon Thairapy and the response has been amazing.
