I have been a practicing massage therapist for over 20 years. I have also recently completed a five year osteopathy program. The combination of these programs gives me a unique perspective of the body. I constantly strive to provide a service that has a foundation rooted in physiological and biomechanical knowledge. While receiving a massage serves a therapeutic and relaxation purpose, it also has an educational component. There are many reasons people seek out massage therapy. I try to provide the people I meet with a simplistic, but informative overview of their body. A body does not have to be in pain to receive massage therapy. Should we accept a life of pain? Pain does not have to be a background noise that is always there. An efficiently functioning body can be a pain free body. A therapeutic massage does not have to be painful to be helpful. A therapeutic massage does not have to be hard to be deep. Massage therapy can be a relieving and liberating experience.
