About the Business

Rolling Stock opened in 1988 as a wheel and tire shop located on South Van Ness Ave at 18th Street in SF's Mission District.
In 2008, we moved a couple blocks to a bigger and better location at 16th Street and South Van Ness Ave. We began performing auto alignments and front end mechanical work, we added more accessories and auto customization, and we expanded our selection of wheels.
In November of 2015, Rolling Stock burned to the ground in a devastating fire. Thankfully no one was hurt, but we were forced to completely shut down operations.
July of 2016 we secured a new location and expanded our business again when we acquired Commercial Tire of San Francisco!
Rolling Stock Commercial Tire now offers tires for heavy duty and industrial vehicles.
We still offer the same friendly, timely service, with many of the same employees you remember from both Rolling Stock and Commercial Tire.

Rolling Stock is a locally owned and operated automotive service center founded in 1988. Today we are located at 601 Bayshore Boulevard San Francisco, CA 94124; but you may remember us from one of our previous locations in the Mission District (2860 16th St. and 695 South Van Ness Ave). We treat our customers' vehicles as if they were our own. Whether you are from San Francisco, CA, South San Francisco, CA, Daly City, CA, or another surrounding area, please contact us online or by phone to schedule an appointment or drop by and see us during business hours. We're open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Adam has worked with tires and wheels since the age of 14.  In 1998, ten years after his father, Al, started Rolling Stock, Adam bought the business from Al and began expanding products and services.  Adam is an expert in all things wheel and tire related-- and he loves this business.
