About the Business

Rising Tide Car Wash was inspired by watching my son Andrew, struggle to find his place in the world. I spent countless hours thinking about what Andrew would do when I was no longer there to support him. Although Andrew was becoming a very capable young man, there were virtually no opportunities for him after he aged out of school. Then in 2011, when he was 21, I came up with the novel idea of buying a car wash to employ Andrew and others like him.

We found that there are a lot of incredibly capable people with autism out there that rarely get a chance to excel in life because they have been labeled with a disability that requires sympathy instead of a really valuable diversity that can be harnessed as a competitive advantage for business. Through alot of hard work and help from some incredible partners, we have built Rising Tide Car Wash to take advantage of the strengths of individuals with autism and provide the highest quality car wash experience on the market.
