About the Business

Rent a friend labor service was started in 2004. It was started in an apartment by John. He only had a pickup truck and a borrowed 6 ft x 10 ft trailer. At the time he provided small delivery and handyman service. A few years later Rent A Friend grew and John was able to expand his equipment to include a 17 ft moving truck and provide full-service moving and relocation. Eventually, he was able to hire a few employees and upgrade his truck to a 24 ft moving truck. However, due to the nature of the industry, in 2017 he downsized to just himself again and is now offering small moving, delivery, junk removal, and general labor service. His plan for 2019 is to create specialized junk removal options for neighborhoods and communities. In an effort to make the removal of items more affordable and expand the market.

I am a solo operator who offers local junk removal, donation pickups, moving, delivery, and general labor services. I strive to provide a stress free service experience. I work by myself and with my clients to accomplish the desired task or project. I can provide a 24ft Box Truck with tools or a pickup truck with a trailer I offer Junk removal and donation pickups. Pricing varies between $25 for a individual item pick up and up $600 to fill my entire 24 ft box truck. moving rates are Rates are $100 for the first 2 hours then $45 per hour for each additional hour.

Hello, my name is John Normandin, I am the owner of Rent A Friend labor services. I have been working since I was twelve years old. I've worked in many industries such as grocery stores, real estate, warehouses, and other misc. labor work. After realizing my unhappiness with the industries I was working for I decided to branch out on my own to better help individuals and to fill the gaps in the market. As a result of that, I have now been successfully helping individuals with their junk hauling, donation, general labor and moving-related needs for over 15 years.
