Lena DeGloma holds a Master of Science in herbal medicine and is also a licensed massage therapist, certified birth doula, certified lactation counselor, and certified childbirth educator with 15 years' experience. Lena founded Red Moon in 2008 as a synthesis of her advanced massage + bodywork skills, her wealth of knowledge and expertise in all things pregnancy + birth, her passion for the study of human physiology + cutting edge science as much as for traditional healing systems rooted in the rhythms of nature, and her love of providing clinical mentorship + leading a team. Outside of Red Moon, Lena is currently serving as president of the Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York and is on faculty part-time at Pacific College of Health and Science in Manhattan and the ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism in Brooklyn. She has taught and written curriculum for several professional training programs for massage therapists, herbalists, and childbirth professionals.
