About the Business

Jewelry making was just a hobby when Kate Stevens started Red Giraffe Designs in her parent's basement in 2009. With the support of her friends and family, she began showing her jewelry at craft shows and began to gain a following of local supporters. After years of handwork, the business grew to the extent that Kate had to move her business out of her home and into a studio space. While searching for the perfect location, she came across a storefront on High St. in the Short North and the idea came to her - a studio where customers could come and shop her designs as well as have things personalized right in the shop! The first RGD studio/boutique storefront combination opened in 2015 and a second location followed in 2017, and a third in 2018.
