My two career paths of hair stylist school owner and teacher along with my experience as a mother to Suzzi have given me a unique understanding of children during the haircutting experience. I appeared on Dragons Den in 2009 and they didn't seem to think children's hair dressing was viable, but then again they turned down Tangle Teezer too! I have consulted on the set up of many children's salons throughout the UK since my appearance, and I now need an academy to keep up with my teaching of children's hair cutting for stylists who wish to specialise in this field !
Kate has worked for British Airways flying shorthaul aircraft since 2000.
I am the mother of Ben aged 11, Kiri aged 5 and Bethan aged 3. Marion has been cutting their hair for a number of years now and we have built a strong friendship. We have discussed setting up a salon together for some time and recently we have both been in the position to develop Raspberry as a salon and training academy.

Hello. My name is Marion Burns My busines partner is Kate Robinson The business is the UK first Kids and teen hair salon. It also houses the first childrens hair cut training accademy by UK childrens hair expert Marion Burns . Marion has been consulting and on the set up of childrens hair salons and training stylists throughout the UK her techniques and the demand now can met at the academy run at Raspberry kids and teens hair salon. When approached by Kate ,a pilot and former nurse as a consultant toset up a salon in Leamington it organically became a joint venture . The salon has cars for children to sit in whilst having a haircut,xbox for the older ones, 3 screens for children and teens to watch their favorite films or music channels and tablets with apps so all bases are covered. Marion contributes to nation websites as the uk childrens hair expert and is also is closely linked with the NAS providing talks in and around the UK for parents and carers of children on the spectrum on "how to introduce your child to the hair cut experience". International brand Tangle Teezer support her in this by donating thier product when she has her talks ,and so far have donated over 300 hair brushes to date to touch sensitive children. Tangle teezer will feature Marion on their new revamped website in June as a the childrens expert too. Tangle teezer are also in talks with NAS to sponsor them in some way .
