JW Lees opened the now multi-award winning Rain Bar in August 1999. It wasn't always a bar though. It started life as a Victorian canal-side warehouse. It then became an umbrella factory and until its development, was a dry cleaning business.

This former umbrella factory is now a stylish and modern bar serving traditional pub food and tasty specials all day. There's a function room and a boardroom available for private functions. There's also the best outdoor area in Manchester city centre, perfect for a pint but get in there early when the sun shines!
