We are a family owned business that we started to give customers a alternative to dealerships. Customer service is a very big priority and keeping the customer involved in the services performed on there vehicle. Primarily Japanese started as a foriegn car only repair facility for along time until our customers kept having issues getting there domestic vehicle repaired. So we started also repairing domestic vehicles. We are basicly a one stop shop, if you need other services for example body work or tires we have trusted people in the industry to give estimates while the vehicle is here being serviced. This saves time for everyone invloved. We also offer pick up and delivery of vehicles with a appointment if needed

I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. In 1983, I joined the Air Force and after 4 years of living in the Midwest, I came back to Tucson still wondering how people live with brutally cold winters and high humidity.  I worked in the mining industry for a few years then started at an auto repair facility in 1989. That experience changed my life because I got the best of both worlds having people and cars all in one place.  I proceeded to work in two other shops prior to opening Primarily Japanese in 1995.  We have been in business now for 25 years and I still enjoy waking up every day knowing I will be helping people. My wife Sara and I have two children that keep us very busy so there is never a dull moment!
