About the Business

Established in 2008 by Rachel Beider, PRESS Modern Massage originally made an impression on New Yorkers as "Massage Williamsburg".

Rachel grew up with scoliosis and knows firsthand what it's like to struggle with pain and search for relief. After becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist, Rachel worked for a surgeon who performed mastectomies for women with breast cancer, assisting recovery with massage. This fueled her desire to create a space for helping and healing through science-backed, clinical orthopedic massage.
