About the Business

First opened on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina in 2003, Poe's Tavern expanded to north Florida in the summer of 2011. Poe's brings its second store to Atlantic Beach, two blocks from the ocean at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and 3rd Street / A1A, 30 minutes due east of Jacksonville.

Named in honor of talented and troubled author Edgar Allan Poe, Poe's Tavern is an American gastropub offering 50+ beers with an emphasis on craft, high gravity and local/regional selections. Poe's is best known for its gourmet hamburgers - ground in-house and cooked to order - and its hand-cut french fries. Other popular items include fish tacos, quesadillas, entree-size salads, Edgar's Drunken Chili and the daily Market Fish Sandwich special.
