About the Business

Founded in 1958, native Georgian Pete Pike started with one small nursery and grew the family owned business to stores throughout Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2008, industry leader and a friend of Pete's, Mike Kunce and Armstrong Garden Centers, a nationally recognized chain of independent garden centers from California, purchased the retail assets of Pike Nurseries and breathed new life into the business. Today Pike Nurseries is an employee-owned company and is continuing to expand in Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina, and has expanded their landscape installation and design offerings to help local residents in these areas with their gardening projects from start to finish. Pike Nurseries also added a growing facility in Marietta, Georgia to ensure the best selection of high-quality plants suited for southern landscapes.
