About the Business

Our business is family owned and run. My parents have been in the food business most of their lives. Our business started from making foods for the temples within the East Coast area eventually our reputation exceeded the boundaries of temple events. More and more people were requesting my parents style of cooking known as E-Saan sort of like a Hybrid between Thai and Lao dishes or the Northern region of Thailand. My mom is from Thailand and my dad is from Laos hence our restaurant name is Pho Thai Lao kitchen. When you come to our restaurant you truly will be eating my mom and dad's cooking since they are the ones running the kitchen. If you truly want to try authentic Thai and Lao food this is the place to visit.

Specialties

Thai and Lao food, we offer many of the famous western Thai dishes as well as new Lao dishes that many have never tried. We also offer our specialty Thai Lao style noodle soup similar to the Vietnamese style noodle soup. Here are some of the Thai dishes we offer: Pad Thai, Pad Khee Mao, Lard Nah, Katiem, Green and red curry, Kaprow. Some of the Lao dishes we offer: Som Tum, E-saan sausage, Larb Gai, Larb Pla, Larb Hoi, Larb Nuer, Yum Woon Sen, Gob Kratiem, Noodle soups, Lord Chong, Ka-nohm Krok, Som Pla, Lao fresh roll. The distinction between Thai and Lao dishes are as follow: Thai food style is more sauteed-like, food is relatively sweet/spicy. Lao food style is salad-like, food is relatively tangy/spicy, Lao style food does not use coconut or sugar in the main dishes. The two styles combine are good compliments of each other.
