Phillip Chartrand started the company in 1992 with a used chevy box truck and knowledge of the business from large moving companies he had driven for. He knew there was a need for a smaller family owned business in this field in the finger lakes region. Now over 28 years later Phil's Moving co. is alive and well. Phil's younger brother Tim bought the company in 2004 and is continuing the family owned business.

I jumped into this business after years of working as a auto technician. Phil was getting older and wanted to move south and presented me with a opportunity to learn and eventually take over the moving co. It was not an easy task for me but Phil taught me the ins and outs and I stepped up and took control in Oct. of 2004. Running stairs with double reclining sofas took some getting used to.
