About the Business

Our story began with a quiet stroll through the quaint streets of Venice one summer's afternoon in 2014. We found ourselves drawn to the charming little paper shops scattered throughout the City, where Italian artisans handmake papers, books and stationery in their picturesque Venetian shops. It was there that our passion for beautiful paper was forged and the foundation for our future paper-inspired journey cemented.

When starting Paperesque in 2015, our mission was to spread the love and admiration that we had for the artisans and the craftsmanship involved in producing handmade stationery. Working with small family-run businesses in Nepal, India and Italy, we began to develop beautiful ranges of stationery and sheet paper for consumers back in the UK.
