About the Business

Our story begins in 1985, where founder Patricia Branch and then business partner Joan Whettlaufer concocted the idea behind Pajo's - a stand serving the finest fish and chips in the West. The set-up was perfect - they were excellent cooks who both knew their fish, considering both of their husbands were commercial fisherman.

The first Pajo's was set-up in Steveston's Wharf, with a stand in Port Moody following five years later. Soon after, stands in Steveston's Garry Point Park and Port Coquitlam joined the family. Pajo's now boasts four beautiful locations, each set up in remote areas that are now regarded as picturesque destination locations.
