Obsessive Cleaning Disorder was named after ADHD habits, including a hyper fixation (obsession) for detail, when our owner & founder quit her decade-long career in software development to clean homes for a living. You could call neurodivergence a specialty for us. We've grown to service upwards of 1,000 homes across Pittsburgh, and our hourly rate covers your surety bond (employee dishonesty insurance) and liability insurance that we pay for, investment in sustainable products and living wages for our staff starting at $22/hour. We are also background checked by several hiring platforms with over 100 5-star reviews on TaskRabbit! Our history is neat, but by our standards is nothing compared to what our future holds - good clean fun!

Obsessive Cleaning Disorder LLC was named for the ADHD trait of hyper-focused intensity! Neurodivergence is our game plan, our business model, and our life. Learn more about our lasting sparkle, how we pay living wages and other sustainable practices on our website. "Obsession" for us crosses over from cleaning to also maintaining a strong code of ethics. Our employees have cause our young business utter confusion at the phrase "no one wants to work anymore," as we have yet to encounter that problem. Apparently, that makes our staff a real specialty and an anomaly! We couldn't do what we do without their integrity and incredibly diverse skillsets from biology to interior design, to really creative musical talent. We offer residential and commercial cleaning services, yard cleanup, decluttering and donating, and beginning-to-end moving help that tends to be cleaning-adjacent. Let us know where we can start!

After a decade-long corporate career as a software developer, I chose to head back to my roots in physical labor as a cleaning tech then put my entrepreneurial spirit to work. Within a year of having quit my job, I was filed as an LLC with insurances and had several incredibly hard working employees.  I "liked" software, but now I love what I do, and would love to stop by and get to know you and help with whatever daunting or boring cleanup tasks just won't get out of your way!
