About the Business

It all started in 1995 with a $2200 phone call to learn the first cooking recipe from mum after surviving on bread and butter for many months when Christopher first arrived in NZ. Since then, cooking has become his passion and Nobanno was the fruit of that.

Nobanno was first opened in August 2007 at the corner of Armagh and Colombo Streets, Christchurch. Within a short period of time, guests recognised the quality of food, services and ambience Nobanno provided and it became one of the top restaurants in Christchurch. Sadly, Nobanno like many other businesses was closed due to the Canterbury earthquake in February 2011. Two and a half years later, Nobanno has re-opened at a new location in Ferrymead, Christchurch in November 2013. Nobanno is still determined to provide the same high quality of food, service and ambience to all its guests.

Established in 2017.
