About the Business
Started in 1969 by John Mugavin at this same location. John has been a car enthusiast since his boyhood days as he tinkered with custom bicycles, soap box derby cars, custom hot rods, then dirt track race cars that he built and raced himself along with working in body shops until he decided to start his own shop. His passion for cars has continued to this day. In 2015 his son Shawn Mugavin, who has worked for him since a young man, and his daughter Shannon Mugavin, who has been doing the record keeping since a teen, and both grew up in the automobile world, became partners and took ownership of the business so John could semi-retire. Jim O'Toole is a technician that has been with John Mugavin Autobody for 40+ years and John's grandson Cory Mugavin is also a technician that has been with the company for 10+ years. Our reputation is based on fairness, honesty, quality and friendliness.
