I started Moshi Moshi from the ground up in 2002. I had been a stylist for 10 years and had previously helped to open a small salon in Carrboro, which I used as the launching pad for Moshi Moshi. I had studied Japanese and was influenced by Japanese pop culture and design and wanted a salon that reflected that aesthetic. I also wanted to create a community driven environment that was unpretentious and honest. I hope that when you come into Moshi Moshi, you have an immediate sense of who we are and what we are about. The Moshettes work as a team and as such, we want to encourage you to feel free to move around the room and find the person that suits you best, even if it is a different stylist every time.
