About the Business
Melissa Stieber opened MTH in downtown Kitchener in the summer 2013. Melissa has always had a heart for justice and when working at Ten Thousand Villages in Toronto several years ago, she started to think about why there aren't fair trade clothing available in the shops around her.
After a few years of working and learning more about fair trade, the fashion industry, business and retail, she decided that opening up a clothing boutique specializing in fair trade clothing was the next direction in her life. Melissa wanted business to make a positive impact in the life of those often we forget are being exploited and to give consumers an ethical option.
Since then she has grown in her passion, connected with many fellow fair traders, leads a Fair trade town campaign and volunteers for Trusted Clothes to change the fashion industry.

Our goal is to promote that connection between the buyer and the maker. To show consumers that their purchases can make a difference. We are members of the Fair Trade Federation, guaranteeing that all our products follow Fair Trade principles. We carry both men's and women's clothing from underwear to socks and dresses to pants.
