About the Business

In 2008 enthusiastic and adventurous Pierre Kouchekey and Harry Evens started a latin night club in Downtown San Jose at San Pedro Square then moved to a location known as a The Cactus Club out of 1st street and san salvador and been there successfully up until now with a great formula of Latin Music, Live bands like Oscar de Leon, Wisin & Yandel, Don Omar, Fulanito, Sonora Dinamita, Oro Solido, Pancho Barraza, and also supporting local latin bands like Son de Kali and Fuego Latino between others.

This is primarily a Latin dance music nightclub. We feature a dedicated salsa room, merengue, reggaeton, bachata, banda, Latin top40, Latin hip hop, and other Latin music. Please see our Facebook event listings for night-specific details. Most of our nights are open to patrons who are at least 21 years of age, but we also feature a night on Thursday for our patrons who are at least 18 years of age. Our nightclub has two distinct rooms without overlapping sound. We do not have stairs between our rooms. We feature an outdoor smoking patio and ample seating around the dance floor. Each of our rooms, as well as the patio, features a full bar and also we have smaller room it call back bar sofa with rock bands! We also have serve authentic Mexican food such as tacos, quesadillas, and burritos. This information is current as of September 2011. Pierre Kouchekey very well known dancer won the gong show in 1979 and inspired with the Latin culture started working as a bartender back in the 80s then moved quickly his way up as a manager of Larriet in Campbell where he got all his development on the bar/nightclub business. He started hosting as a MC at his own nightclub in San Pedro and got very popular using the phrase "Oh My God" at the beat of the music.
