About the Business

After long years working for others in his 20-year-period in the U.S.A, Jose Barros, originally from Brazil, decided it was time to move on and to invest in his own business.

He had always dreamed about owing a laundromat but it had to be a special one, a better version of most laundromats out there. His vision was a state of the art laundromat with environmentally friendly machines that would definitely provide a faster, more efficient result, and consequently, a significant reduction on water usage as well.

On April 19, 2005, his dream came true at exactly 8am in light of the "Metropolitan Laundromat" opening day.


On November 1st, 2007, Jose decided to go back to Brazil and sold to Adir Baldelim and Jackson M. Santana.

The new owners are doing a terrific job and continue to provide their valuable customers with the best service ever.

We offer clothes pick up and drop off service to our customers. Wash, Dry and Fold (Same Day service) We use the best products available in the market. We offer organic and anti-allergic (free clear) soap. Fabric softener: Snuggle, Downy, or mix of the 2. We charge by the pound and offer (same day). Dry Cleaning (next day service) - We use organic products to dry clean (Gen-X). Next day services and 10% off payable cash at the drop-off. Our prices are very competitive and in some cases better than the prices of others dry cleaners. We have gift certificates and laundry bags. Free wireless Internet and free soap on Wednesdays. Private parking.
