337 N Shine Ave was originally built in 1947 as a grocery store. It was purchased in November of 2011 by Kirt Earhart. Mr. Earhart kept the menu & décor until January 1, 2012. It closed for 4 days of renovations, led by its new namesake herself, Maxine, his wife. It reopened as Maxine's...On Shine, on January 6th, 2012. The goal of Maxine': Be the best neighborhood restaurant it could be to it's immediate neighbors & to all in the Greater Orlando area. Over the past 10 years, Maxine's on Shine has been named a "Best Neighborhood Restaurant" "Best Brunch" "Best Outdoor Dining" "Best Pet Friendly" "Best Bloody Mary" "Best Live Music" venue by multiple publications. In 2018, Orlando Magazine inducted Maxine's into their "Dining Hall of Fame" and was named "Best Downtown Restaurant" by their readers in 2021. Kirt & Maxine Earhart continue their love affair with each other, The City Beautiful, and all that enter, whether local or visitors, at the Little Restaurant That Would!

The Tasty Beverage Emporium offers a full bar focused on quality highball drinks and classic cocktails, over 30 worldwide wines by the glass, and 40+ beers brewed primarily in Florida and the US.
