About the Business

Massage Sanctuary was estabished after a long period of trying to find more peace and tranquility in my own life. After successful but very demanding careers, first in human resources and then teaching college, I felt a strong desire to do something that would be both meaningful and enjoyable, and that would allow my spirit to flourish while utilizing my talents and skills. I felt drawn to massage therapy for its healing power and ability to bring comfort and pain relief to clients. I realized very quickly that I reaped the benefits myself of helping others to find peace and tranquility!

In time, I found myself drawn more and more towards the energy work I was doing. My clients had amazing results from this type of work, even with the lightest touches. And energy work is so effective for people who might not be comfortable with other types of massage. It does not require undressing, and does not involve deep pressure that many may not find comfortable or enjoyable.

Massage Sanctuary specializes in Energy Work. What is Energy Work? We all know inherently when our bodies feel "out of whack" or when our energy seems "off." It can manifest as a very stressed-out feeling, as aches and pains, as a mind that won't turn off, or any combination of unhealthy feelings and emotions. Energy work consists of different treatment methods that are used to realign and re-balance the body's energetic pathways. Our bodies are miraculous systems with innate abilities to heal. Energy work including Shiatsu massage, Reiki, and crystal healing treatments are focused on helping your body to heal itself!

I became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2011 and established Massage Sanctuary. My goal was to bring peace and tranquility to my clients as well as myself. In the following years I became passionate about energy work and completed additional training to become a Certified Crystal Healer and Reiki Practitioner. My practice is now focused primarity on energy work. After using crystals in my practice and having so many clients wanting them for their own use, I opened The Crystal Corner, where I sell crystals from my office as well as at vendor shows.
