Relocated in December 2014, the opening of the new Malabar on the corner of Victoria and Craigend St, captures the essence of over 22 years of extensive experience, skills and knowledge of Chef Mohammed, reflecting the culinary legacy of South India. Still to this day, he handpicks all fresh produce, only allowing the best ingredients entering the kitchen. True to his philosophy; only if using the best produce available, can the best food be produced. Every onion is hand peeled, every piece of meat is hand cut and the spices are grounded on the premises. Respecting the thousands of years of culinary development in India, every dish is cooked true to its ancient recipes. At Malabar, taste sensations are the pillar of the kitchen, where exquisite recipes come together to ensure an experience that reiterates the greatness of South India with novel additions to the menu, allowing the modern Indian cuisine entering the culinary legacy of Chef Mohammed  and  Malabar South Indian Cuisine.
