About the Business

Lorenzutti Motors was opened, in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn, in 1972, by Argentinean race car driver and automotive MacGyver Roberto Lorenzutti. Roberto established the shop's reputation as a trustworthy sanctuary for foreign cars. With Gowanus bordering Park Slope, a neighborhood which basically has as many Volvos per citizen as a small Swedish city, Roberto came to specialize in Volvo over the ensuing decades. The shop also deals extensively with Subaru, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Toyota, Honda, etc. Lorenzutti is still owned by Roberto, with the shop itself managed on a daily basis by Alejandro, an ace diagnostician, who has been with the garage for nearly two decades.
