About the Business

Loops started as a concept taken from the great eateries in and around the Loop. For those of you who are unfamiliar, its the area of downtown Chicago encompassed by the elevated train (more commonly known as the "El").

Growing up in Chicago, my brothers and I always looked forward to riding the 'el'. Whether it was for a Cubs, Blackhawks, Bulls or Bears game, a day at the museum or a blues or reggae festival, our favorite part of any day in the city was eventually eating. We would ride the train and pick our stop depending on what we were craving.

It was our Uncle Bill who introduced us to the world of Chicago Style Hot Dog, Porkchop Sandwich, Italian Beef, Maxwell St. Polishes' and of course, Gyro; the Chicago born classic.
Being restaurant guys all of our lives it just made sense to open LOOPs. We are proud to bring some tried and true originals from Chicago to Columbus.
