About the Business

I have these fantastic memories of growing up amidst interesting flavours at home in India. Be it the garlic "Tadka" (tempering) in the dal (lentils) or the aroma of spices being "Bhuna-od" (sautéed onions with ginger-garlic, spices and tomatoes.
I still remember the whiff of the spices from the copper biryani handi (cooking pot) as the naan bread seal cuts through along with the thin salted charcoal smoked yogurt drink called "Chaas" and the earthy flavours of the tandoor while savouring tandoori chicken "taang" (leg), that is parallel to none.
My cooking is inspired by my cravings of the earthy and familiar fragrances from the soil and tree trunks during the rainy season while growing up in northwest India; the charcoal hinted flavours from the "Sigdis" and tandoor oven, mixed with joy and laughter from the family get-togethers. Such memories have inspired me to create a concept, Krave Indian, that would fulfill the cravings of many others like me while savouring Indian food.

Krave Indian™  team is lead by the CEO and Executive Chef, Nikhil Baxi, who has 30+ years of extensive experience in restaurant startups and managing multi-unit, multi-cuisine restaurants globally including countries like UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, India, Canada and USA. He started his career with Taj group in Mumbai, India, a leading 5-star hotel chain, and has also been a part of many international restaurant projects as a chef.
