About the Business

We have been in business since 1978. Luther Knowell, founder of our company, proudly served in the United States Navy and, after he retired, went to work for another local locksmith for 7 years. He would remark, "It's nice to be able to make a living doing what I consider to be a hobby." He started Knowell's Lock & Safe, Inc. out of the trunk of the family's car. It wasn't long before he started buying vans and hiring people (mostly family) to work with him. Today, we have 3 generations operating the family business.

We are authorized Safe Dealers for Browning, Liberty, American Security, Hollon, Gardall, and Hayman. We sell Gun safes, home safes, office safes, wall safes, floor safes, fire safes, burglar safes We relocate, open, and service safes We change the combination on safes We are one of the South's Largest Stocking Safe Dealers and typically have over 125 Gun Safes in-stock at any given time. We receive truckloads every 4-6 weeks Our delivery area covers from Daytona Beach to Brunswick Georgia

Geoff, son of Luther, has carried on his father's dream and the family business since his father passed away over 20 years ago. Geoff has grown Knowell's Lock & Safe to be not only be the Largest Safe Dealer in North Florida and South Georgia, but also opened a second location in 2021 during the tough times of the pandemic. The second location, Yulee, brings Geoff's 45 years of knowledge and experience to the Nassau County area.
