Still rocking the same beloved vibe, built by two fun-loving Hungarians, Attila and Gyuszi, it’s the place New Yorkers adore. Dive into our mix of happy hour, DJ lounge vibes, and birthday bashes. Growing up in Hungary we always dreamed abut the US. Before we moved to New York, we owned/managed several bars/clubs back home and in the UK. The Babushka in London, the Orange Cafe Rock Club, the Jimi Hendrix Music Pub Restaurant in Hungary what actually become legendary between American medical students studying that time in Debrecen. In 2000 we opened the GENIUS Cafe-Bar mentioned in tour-books "as one of the best places to go" in Hungary. Opening and successfully running KEYBAR in New York (East Village) was the icing on the cake. It is really funny how and where life can take you. From a collage graduate in Hun. a bar owner in  Manhattan. The best is when we see our American med. student friends coming to KEYBAR as practicing doctors to have the same rolo shot as they had in their collage days in our place 20 years ago. Than we think we definitely did something right, something what you can only measure from the loyalty of your costumers.
