About the Business

Doug & Sumalee, In the late 90's Were food vendors, with tent & trailer. Traveling all over WA. Went as far as Walla Walla, & the Grand Coulee dam!
People back in those day's thought, and told us, our food was too good for fair food and should have our own restaurant.

In 2001 we started our own Restaurant.
In 2004 I started contemplating the idea of doing Thai catering, and that know one was really doing it here. Sumalee liked the idea but didn't want her food cooked and delivered not even one hour after coming out of the wok. Had to think of another way? Then it hit us. Had to put a kitchen with wok's in it, in a truck, if the taco trucks are doing it, why not Thai?
Early in 2005 we were up and running, and was pretty much by ourselves with a handful of trucks rolling into Seattle in 2007. Which is the year we came out with our 2nd truck.

Doug & Sumalee are still very much involved with The Restaurant, soon to be newly managed. Look for more changes at the inventive Kaosamai!
