About the Business

With over 20 years of curatorial experience, Journey East is consistently mentioned as one of Singapore's favourite furniture stores.

Our journey started in 1995, where we first set up at the then-unknown locale of Dempsey Hill. Our initial collections comprised mostly of original vintage and retro collectibles, driven by a passion for teak wood and antique craftsmanship of a bygone era.

Our offerings have evolved over the years, and the range has expanded to include eco-friendly reclaimed teak wood furniture, industrial-styled furnishings crafted with iron and wood, as well as modern designer furniture pieces and home accessories. Our original vintage and retro collection still remains highly sought-after.

In 2015, we also launched our very own collection called PLAYplay, with features in prominent international design media, including Wallpaper*, Elle Decor, Dezeen, and was named by Dwell as one of the top things to see at the 2016 Milan Design Week.

Established in 1995, Journey East has since become Singapore's premier destination for eco-friendly, eclectic and unique home furnishings, with an 8,600 square-foot showroom at Tan Boon Liat building. Journey East is open every day, and overseas orders can also be arranged.
