25 years ago when i first started the company James Electric in the Oshawa area it was tough trying to get enough work to pay the bills and put food on the table and i had a wife and four young children at the time, i remember i had to sell my riding lawnmower to pay the rent one month, but just kept digging and looking for work and doing a lot of praying , i found two electrical contractors in Oshawa , Hill Rowe Electric and AC DC Electric i could sub from while i was slow and that really helped me on my way to becoming successful with James Electric, then one day out of the blue one of my friends called me and said i was in Don and Sons today and their was a home builder in their asking the owner of Don and Sons if he knew any electricians that can wire his houses and if i was interested ,well i said sure thing get his name and number for me , his name was Gino and he was the owner of Tormino Homes, now Highmark Homes and i have been with them for over 25 years now.

I first started working in the electrical trade back when i was 15 years old working for my dad back in 1972, his name was Gordon as well and called his company Gord Day Electric and we worked out of Brantford Ont , very successful business, then my younger brother Robert joined us when he turned 16 and my dad renamed the business Gord Day Electric and Sons and we stayed in business until 1996 when my Dad retired ,and i took over the company, my brother and i had different ideas at the time and he left the company 832108 Ont Ltd and i renamed the company James Electric because  my middle name is James ,relocated the company to the Oshawa area my wifes home town and now my wife my two sons and 1 daughter work for me ,3 generations and still going strong
